hear it in the stairwell: Over the Rhine- Good Dog Bad Dog

Has anyone looked out the window today? It's apparently late March: bright sky, high clouds, mild temperature, incredible wind, horizontal sprinkles. Phew, good thing I haven't started my Christmas shopping, I still have 9 more months. SERIOUSLY...where is winter? Where are the frigid days of scarves and mittens and wet socks from mushy brown snow? Where are the icy roads, weather warnings and the snowflakes on eyelashes? What happened to December being the month of curling up next to the fire after an afternoon on the sledding hill, sipping hot chocolate and listening to the OTR Christmas album, ice skating until your ankles give out and your nose is dripping? All I see is mud puddles, windbreakers, water skating rings, and low heating bills. Where is winter?
