hear it in the stairwell: Chasing Furies
I had to work again this weekend-not looking foreword to staying up all night then struggling through the days, determined to squeeze every ounce of fun out of the amazingly beautiful and warm February weekend.
Last night Kristi and I ended up at the coffee shop where Phil was playing a mini acoustic set. So comfortable, holding a cup of warm beverage surrounded by friends and listening to the most heartfelt, personally written lyrics and guitar I've heard since Stephen. Never underestimate the power of a guy who's in tune with God and his guitar to lead you into the comforting presence of a God who loves people, friendships, and a heart of worship. A few of us made a stop at Chili's a even fewer of us traveled on to Borders after. Brian Moore is the biggest nerd I know. I wore scrubs.
I then worked all night, slept a few hours this morning and woke when Matt Johnson made it over to fix the phoneline that I broke downstairs. Praise God for guys who know what they're doing and are willing to help:)
Off to DOG PARK!! Yea! Kristi and I rounded up the troops (aka Aspen and Levi) and headed to a park just for dogs- fittingly named "Bark Park". I kid you not. A fenced-in hill specifically designed for free-for-all butt sniffing and puddle splashing. Fun for all involved.
Back to work tonight. Sleep is overrated, right? The weekend a few weeks ago when I went over 30 hours without sleep I realized how much a person can get done without spending 6-8 hours a night in bed! Productivity overload. Imagine...we spend a third of our lives snoring.
