hear it in the stairwell:U2- Joshua Tree
Levi and I woke to a beautiful morning and, feeling exceptionally motivated, we set for our first true exploration of the new neighborhood. A lot of cute houses, playful kids and...best of all, we discovered an awesome park right around the block! Swing sets, playground equipment, tennis courts, soccer fields and a great hill with a cool looking old tree on the top. How exciting! I was thinking of someone I could share my new found source of excitement with and the only person I could think of who would hold an appreciation for this park-o-joy is Bryan. Maybe when you are back and bored in Ohio Bryan:)
Ok, so the tree on the hill wasn't THIS cool, but in Ohio, anything close is worthy of excitement.
But I ran today for the first time in almost two weeks. ouch. That gap in running combined with my eating habits over the past few days made for some ugly and slightly painful sprinting. Maybe once I find the perfect pair of new running shoes I'll be able to run faster, jump higher and eat better. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
And I started my sluggish job search today. I applied to a few places I could see myself really enjoying, 3rd shift and all. I'm excited.
This was pretty much the extent of my first day of being unemployed. People came over tonight and we played some fairly anticlimactic games. It was nice to just relax.
Oh! MattLevi came over and brought another one of his brothers, which reminds me...there's a chance I might go to Ireland this summer to work at a summer camp for Matt's parents! How exciting is that? I could even plan in some time to travel some in Europe! I am so excited about this...pray about this trip!
