Things I love today:
-school and learning and books and teachers and the first day of class.
-afternoon naps.
-boiled plantains and cheese.
-softserve vanilla ice cream.
-listening. and when given the invitation, talking.
-water.
-clients that i connect with.
-summer that feels like fall.
-the thought of fall!

and tonight my windowsill is adorned with a glass gallon pickle jar with holes nailed in the lid. dark room and the fireflies (we gathered with childlike determination over wet grass and consolatory conversation that only comes with years of practice)are glittering their ignited beings playfully. lightening bugs that are a gift from my clever creator and my resolute ally.
